Even though Raymore-Peculiar lost the tennis match against Suburban Big Six Conference opponents Lee’s Summit North 6-3, the Panthers still accomplished something big.
Jordan Knutson just needed to get two more outs for Lee’s Summit in the seventh inning without giving up a run to Lee’s Summit North. If he did so without giving up a hit in the process, not only would the Tigers win 2-1, he’d also complete a no-hitter.
April 5: Lee’s Summit West 5, Lee’s Summit 0
You might say Lee’s Summit North head coach Tim Richardson was tickled pink after his Broncos shutout the Lee’s Summit West Titans April 9, 4-0.
South Coffeeville Tournament
Lee’s Summit West senior Emiah Bingley took home the DiRenna Award, which was announced at the Hy-Vee/Pepsi All-Star Challenge Awards Show April 5 at Shawnee Mission South High School.
SCA shuts out Van Horn at Kauffman Stadium
For the Summit Christian Academy Eagles, their game April 3 against the Van Horn Falcons was not typical. Sure, SCA had the starting line-up in place at the start of the game, but at this game it was all about the location. The number one ranked Eagles played at the home for the Royals, Kauffman Stadium.
As often as the Lee’s Summit Broncos were knocking on the door, it seemed like just a matter of time before they would kick it in.

Lee’s Summit West shot a 302 in the City Championship golf match held April 3 at Fred Arbanas Golf Course, Lee’s Summit.
