A reward of up to $1,000 is being offered for information leading to the arrest and prosecution of an alleged robbery suspect, according to the Lee’s Summit Police Department.

According to reports, at 7:10 p.m., Nov. 18, LSPD officers responded to Dollar General, located at 172 N.W. Oldham Parkway, on a report of a strong-arm robbery.

The store clerk reported a male subject was at the cashier’s counter purchasing a candy bar when he pushed the clerk to the side and reached into the cash drawer taking the money. The subject told the cashier she would be OK if she didn’t do anything. Once the subject had the cash, he fled from the store on foot through the parking lot. Police said the clerk was not hurt during the incident.

The suspect described as being a fair or light-skinned black male who was wearing a black hooded jacket with white stripes on both sleeves. His hair, in surveillance photographs, also appears to be either gray or light in color.

Anyone with information regarding the suspect, should call the Crime Stoppers TIPS hotline at 816-474-TIPS (8477).
