Police seek suspects in break-in
The Lees Summit Police Department is seeking the publics help in identifying two suspects who shot their way into the Convenience Plus store at 351 S.E. Third St. and stole part of a cash register during the early morning hours of Jan. 6. The store was closed, and no employees were on the premises at the time of the crime.
Surveillance video from the store shows the two suspects breaking out the front door after firing a shot that pierced the door, a candy display and part of a cooler in the back of the store. The portion of the cash register that was taken did not contain any money.
