Rescuers respond at County Line

Lee’s Summit police and firefighters respond to at injury accident at about 8:10 a.m. Feb. 22 at the intersection of Ward Road and S.W. County Line Road. The wreck occurred after a 2009 Ford Taurus driven by Leland Wilson, 69, of Grandview ran a stop sign while traveling eastbound on S.W. County Line Road. Wilson’s car struck a 2005 Dodge Durango driven by Tara Bazar, 40, of Lee’s Summit, causing it to spin off the roadway and slide onto its side. A 4-year-old child who was riding in the Durango was transported to an area hospital with minor injuries. Frances Wilson,a 69-year-old passenger in the Taurus also was transported to an area hospital with minor injuries. Leland Wilson was cited for failing to stop for a stop sign.
