Classical recital July 16th

Anna Christine Woiwood, who is a native of Lee’s Summit, will be presenting a classical recital at the John Knox Village Courtyard Community Center, July 16th at 3:00pm. She invites you to come hear arias and art songs by Bellini, Mahler, Saint-Saëns, Donaudy and a few musical theatre standards. Woiwood just recently received her Bachelor’s of Music from Southeast Missouri State where she sang the roles of Gertrud in Hansel and Gretel, Katisha in Gilbert and Sullivan’s The Mikado, as well as Dorabella in Mozart’s Cosi fan tutte. In the fall, Woiwood will attend the University of Northern Colorado where she will earn her Master’s in Music, as well as participate in Opera Fort Collin’s apprenticeship program. The concert on Monday afternoon is free to the public. Woiwood will be accompanied by Jill Casey.
