Red Friday celebration returns Sept. 8

Get your red out.

The Kansas City Chiefs’ Red Friday, a long-standing tradition in the greater Kansas City area and now in its 20th year, will return Sept. 7 and Lee’s Summit will be in the mix.

Greg Olinger, a Red Coater apprentice, will serve as the Lee’s Summit community sponsor for Red Friday at his office at 16 S.E. Third Street in downtown Lee’s Summit.

The business, along with other downtown businesses, will have magazines available to purchase.

The Red Friday magazines are a $2.00 donation and benefit Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Greater Kansas City.

Maggie’s Authentic Mexican Foods will be open for breakfast that morning, along with Whistlestop Mercantile and Neighborhood Café.
