Celebrating 60 years of Cinderella

Members of the Heart of America Youth Ballet in downtown Lee’s Summit perform during a dress rehearsal Oct. 16 for an upcoming ballet version of “Cinderella,” which will take place Nov. 9 and 10 at the Folly Theater in Kansas City. More than 50 performers, ages 6 to 18 years of age, will dance in the ballet. Music will be scored by Sergei Prokofiev, and choreography comes courtesy of the company’s artistic director, Cindy Monaco. This year marks the 60th anniversary of “Cinderella.”
