LS Police seek help identifying assault suspect

The Lee’s Summit Police Department seeks the public’s help in identifying a suspect in an assault case.

The assault occurred Oct. 1 at a store in a local shopping district.

The suspect followed the victim through the store and made comments to her while she walked through the store. At one point, the suspect grabbed the woman and attempted to kiss her.

The suspect is described as a white male in his early 20s, 5-foot, 7 inches tall and approximately 180 pounds. On the day of the incident, the suspect was wearing a red ball cap, blue shirt and jeans. The suspect left the store in a newer model Hyundai sport utility vehicle that was black in color.
