Tegenkamp honored by city

Matt Tegenkamp reminisces with Bob and Jane Rutherford, parents of another Cross Country runner at Lee's Summit High School who was a teammate of Tegenkamp. "I remember state, we saw you come by and we waited, and waited, and waited and waited for the next runner," Jane Rutherford said. Tegenkamp was honored Nov 19 at Lee's Summit City Hall for his athletic accomplishments. He is a professional runner who competed in the Beijing and London Olympics. He received proclamations from Missouri State Senator Will Kraus, State Rep. Mike Cierpiot and Mayor Randy Rhoads.
