Farmers hold Holiday Mart
The Downtown Lee’s Summit Farmers Market vendors are having their first-ever indoor Holiday Mart offering in-season produce, handmade crafts, baked goods and more.
Stacy Needels, events and marketing coordinator for Downtown Lee’s Summit Main Street, said the vendors are excited about the new event.
“For years vendors have wanted to provide customers the opportunity to purchase winter-crop produce, baked goods and other items after the regular season has ended. The vendors also are planning to have products available that would make great holiday gifts,” she said.
The Holiday Mart will be open 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 8, at the Fire Fighters Union Hall, 322 SE Douglas St., in Downtown Lee’s Summit.
The Downtown Lee’s Summit Farmers Market recently was named the No. 1 Famers Market in the state of Missouri for the second consecutive year. It also was named among the Top 10 medium-sized markets in the nation in the America’s Favorite Farmers Market contest.
