The Trailridge Elementary Green Team and Student Council are continuing the school's tradition of collecting food and supplies for Trailridge families who are in need of extra help during the holiday season. During just one week of collecting, Trailridge accumulated 2,345 food items and supplies.

Each day, Trailridge students bring a specific type of donation, including canned food, boxed food, cleaning supplies and paper products. The Green Team arrives each morning, before school to collect and count all the food from each classroom.

Student helpers count and organize the food into a small “store,” where Trailridge families can easily find exactly what they need. The students have worked hard to sort out each type of canned food into neat and tidy stacks, said a school spokesperson.
