Let it snow?

Mark Angel, Lee’s Summit city employee, cleared snow off the City Hall plaza early Dec. 20 while the rest of Lee’s Summit also began to dig out from the year’s first winter storm. High winds and a couple of inches of snow caused sometimes white-out conditions. A combination of frigid morning temperatures, snow and warm rain on the evening before resulted in icy, hazardous driving. Schools were closed. The National Weather Service predicts sunny days for the weekend with a high Saturday in the low 40s but falling temperatures into next week.
