R-7 middle schools recognize Students of the Month for December

Lee’s Summit R-7 School District middle schools recently recognized their December Students of the Month. Students of the month are recognized based on outstanding citizenship, conduct, attitude and school involvement.

Students of the Month from Bernard Campbell Middle School are Brooke Jordan and Jacob Welsh. Brooke is the daughter of Carrie Jordan and Beejay Jordan. At BCMS, Brooke is involved in volleyball, basketball and track. Away from school, Brooke enjoys basketball and camping. She has been listed on the principal’s honor roll all quarters. Jacob is the son of Theresa Welsh and Jon Welsh. At BCMS, Jacob is involved in concert band, mens choir, cross country and Fellowship of Christian Athletes. Away from school, Jacob enjoys competitive soccer. He has been listed on the principal’s honor roll.

Students of the Month from Pleasant Lea Middle School are Claire Burch and Noah Wood. Claire is the daughter of Sydney Burch and Wayne Burch. At PLMS, Claire is involved in volleyball, basketball, W.E.B. Cares and track. Away from school, Claire enjoys baking, playing sports and her church youth group. She has been listed on the principal’s honor all quarters. Noah is the son of Melissa Wood and Jeremy Wood. At PLMS, Noah has been listed on the principal’s honor roll all quarters. Away from school, Noah enjoys baseball, cross country and wrestling.

Students of the Month from Summit Lakes Middle School are Addie Leabo and Jakob Benedetti. Addie is the daughter of Denise Leabo and Todd Leabo. At SLMS, Addie is involved in the musical and awards show. Away from school, Addie enjoys dance. She has been listed on the principal’s honor roll all quarters. Jakob is the son of Angela Benedetti and John Benedetti. At SLMS, Jakob is involved in football and robotics team. Away from school, Jakob enjoys Boy Scouts and lacrosse. He has been listed on the principal’s honor roll and received Grand/State recognition in the Duke University Talent Identification Program.
