Helping Hands of the Willing Workers
1 p.m., Longview Chapel Christian Church, 850 S.W. Longview Road – Join a weekly group that makes crafts and sews for the benefit of the church. The Helping Hands make items throughout the year to earn money for the building fund and make cheer baskets for the homebound. The group invites anyone looking for fellowship, fun and those who enjoy creating items, to join them. The group furnishes all supplies and is always looking for new ideas. 6 to 7 p.m., second Thursday of each month at the Ambassador Room at John Knox Village, 500 N.W. Murray Road – The purpose of the group is to offer resources and support for those who have loved ones affected by dementia.
Stroke Support Group
6-7:30 p.m., Saint Luke’s East Hospital, Legacy Conference Room (third floor), 100 NE Saint Lukes Blvd. – Have you or a loved one suffered a neurological impairment or injury? We invite you to share your stories and meet others who are in similar situations. Each session will feature guest speakers from the health care community who will provide insight and helpful resources.
