Summit Technology Academy to host open house Jan. 23

Summit Technology Academy will host a special open house from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Jan. 23 at the school. Area students, families and community members interested in learning more about the school are invited to attend the Technology Academy Night. Snow date for the open house is Feb. 6.

The school offers a variety of technology-oriented courses, such as engineering, pre-professional nursing, digital media technology, network security, computer programming, education cadets, international studies, digital electronics and computer integrated manufacturing.

The school is operated by the Lee’s Summit R-7 School District and is located at 777 NW Blue Parkway, Suite 3090. Students from a number of area high schools may attend the school, including high schools in the following districts: Lee’s Summit R-7, Blue Springs, Raytown, Grandview, Center, Hickman Mills, Raymore-Peculiar, Odessa, Pleasant Hill, Lone Jack and Independence. The school receives tuition payments for students from schools other than Lee’s Summit R-7 with the sending districts paying the tuition.
