Bobbe Dee Combs, age 56, of Lee’s Summit, died Jan. 16, 2013 at home.
Bobbe was born Dec. 17, 1956 in Maryville, Mo. She grew up in Lee’s Summit but spent a lot of time visiting relatives in Sheridan, Mo. She graduated from Lee’s Summit High School in 1974.
She graduated from the University of Central Missouri and worked as a book keeper and data entry specialist for insurance companies. Bobbe was a dedicated and dependable employee. Due to increasing health problems Bobbe retired from work in 2006. Upon retirement she took care of her father who was suffering from Alzheimer’s until his death in 2010.
Bobbe had a tender heart and cared greatly for her family and close friends. Even during her struggle with cancer she would focus on others. Her love and affection for family and friends will be greatly missed.
She was preceded in death by her father, Marvin Duane Combs and her mother Clella Haley Combs.
She is survived by her sister Roby Combs Little and brother-in-law Dan Little, two nephews, Blake (Kris) Little and Taylor Little (Claire McArdle); a great niece and nephew, Scarlett and Sawyer; her cousins, Patty (Richard) Bindel, Jeff Haley, Helen Clevenger, her aunt Lola Haley, longtime friend Dena Hughes and numerous other cousins and friends.
A private memorial service was held Jan. 23 at Langsford Funeral Home.
Memorial contributions can be made to a local charity, One Good Meal.
