R-7 middle schools recognize Students of the Month for January

Lee’s Summit R-7 School District middle schools recently recognized their January Students of the Month. Students of the month are recognized based on outstanding citizenship, conduct, attitude and school involvement.

Students of the Month from Bernard Campbell Middle School are Sarvani Mandapati and Gunnar Gronberg. Sarvani is the daughter of Vijaya Mandapati and Raja Mandapati. At BCMS, Sarvani is involved the Longview Art Show and she received the Outstanding Literacy Award. Away from school, Sarvani enjoys math competitions. She has been listed on the honor roll. Gunnar is the son of Carolyn Gronberg and Trent Gronberg. At BCMS, Gunnar is involved in football, basketball and concert choir. Away from school, Gunnar enjoys baseball. He has been listed on the honor roll all quarters.

Students of the Month from Pleasant Lea Middle School are Molly Lebermann and Dean Foreman. Molly is the daughter of Jennifer Lebermann. At PLMS, Molly is involved in volleyball. She has been listed on the principal’s honor all quarters. Dean is the son of Aliza Perea and Kenny Foreman. At PLMS, Dean is involved in Club 121. Away from school, Dean enjoys church activities and Boy Scouts. He has been listed on the principal’s honor roll all quarters.

Students of the Month from Summit Lakes Middle School are Katelyn Colon and Kevin Knox. Katelyn is the daughter of Tracy Colon and Chris Colon. At SLMS, Katelyn is involved in cross country, track, choir and is the basketball team manager. Away from school, Katelyn enjoys cross country, church activities and youth court. She has been listed on the principal’s honor roll all quarters. Kevin is the son of Teri Knox and Kevin Knox. At SLMS, Kevin is involved in football, basketball and the art show. Away from school, Kevin enjoys football. He has been listed on the principal’s honor roll.
