Chocolate Crawl features free treats and Downtown Lee’s Summit shopping
Start at 10 a.m. at City Hall for Candy Bars from the Mayor
Downtown Lee’s Summit Main Street is hosting its sixth annual Chocolate Crawl from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Feb. 2, in Downtown Lee’s Summit. Everyone is invited to pick up a Chocolate Crawl map at Lee’s Summit City Hall, then follow the balloons to participating Downtown businesses, where they can enjoy a variety of free chocolate treats (while supplies last) and shop for Valentine’s Day gifts.
New this year is the addition of City Hall as a Chocolate Crawl stop from 10 a.m. to noon. To celebrate the launch of the new community brand, Lee’s Summit Mayor Randy Rhoads will hand out full-sized candy bars from 10 a.m. to noon to the first 500 adults at City Hall, 220 S.E. Green St., Lee’s Summit. There also is an opportunity to see the new brand campaign and items with the new logo.
Anyone participating in the free Chocolate Crawl, which is open to the public, is encouraged to park at the City Hall public parking garage at the corner of Second and Greens streets, then pick up a Chocolate Crawl map at City Hall or a participating Downtown business and follow the balloons to shop and enjoy chocolate treats. Customers also can enter to win a Valentine’s Day gift basket. Entry forms are available at participating merchants.
