Feb. 1
Lee’s Summit Sunrise Rotary Club
7:15 a.m., Emaline Ballroom – Every Friday morning you are cordially invited to attend the Lee’s Summit Sunrise Rotary at the Emaline Ballroom, 616 S.W. Third St. You will have the opportunity to meet our many business members, have breakfast provided by local restaurateurs and hear an interesting program. Feb. 2
Teen Night
5:30-11 p.m., Z-Sports, Doc Henry Road in Greenwood – Night will feature games that include, hantis, dodgeball, badminton and volleyball. LSHS band “In Pieces” a mix of hard rock, pop, punk and metal all in one will perform. $10 to play or $5 to hang out. Tournament games begin at 6 p.m.
Knights of Columbus Las Vegas Night
7 p.m., Our Lady of Presentation Church gymnasium, 130 NW Murray Road – Charity fund raiser. Food and beverages will be served all evening. There will be dozens of Blackjack, Craps, Roulette and Texas Hold ’em tables for a full evening of adult entertainment. Admission is $15 which includes $10 in chips and one entry in the vacation trip raffle. All proceeds will be shared by the three Lee’s Summit Knight of Columbus Councils who will use the funds to support disadvantaged children, families in need and other worthy causes. Noon, First Presbyterian Church of Lee’s Summit, 1625 N.W. O’Brien Road – Is someone’s drinking causing you problems? Come to Al-Anon and join friends and family of alcoholics. The group meets weekly at noon on Mondays and 7:30 p.m. Thursdays.

Lee’s Summit Toastmasters Club
6 p.m., Legacy Christian Church, 2150 E. Langsford Road – The Lee’s Summit Toastmasters Club No. 5317 meets on the first, third and fifth Mondays each month for those interested in public speaking. Guests are always welcome.

Freedom to Speak Toastmasters
Noon, John Knox Village, 500 N.W. Murray Road – Toastmasters International is a non-profit organization that helps members develop and improve their public speaking abilities. Helping Hands of the Willing Workers
1 p.m., Longview Chapel Christian Church, 850 S.W. Longview Road – Join a weekly group that makes crafts and sews for the benefit of the church. The Helping Hands make items throughout the year to earn money for the building fund and make cheer baskets for the homebound. The group invites anyone looking for fellowship, fun and those who enjoy creating items, to join them. The group furnishes all supplies and is always looking for new ideas. Lee’s Summit Medical Center 2013 Go Red for Women Luncheon
11 a.m.-1 p.m., Feb 7 or 8, Lee’s Summit Medical Center, 2100 SE Blue Parkway – The luncheon offers a chance for women to learn about heart health, enjoy a delicious lunch, and meet Lee’s Summit Medical Center cardiologists Rick Brown, and David Rios. There will also be vendors to visit and the woman wearing the most red will win a prize, lunch is $12 per person or $90 for a table of eight.
