Sorrell graduates from basic training
Air Force Airman 1st Class Benjamin J. Sorrell graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas.
The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills.
Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.
Sorrell is the son of Riahuyiaun and Benjamin Sorrell Jr. of Lee’s Summit.
He is a 2007 graduate of Lee’s Summit North High School. He earned a bachelor’s degree in 2011 from the University of Central Missouri.
