Daughters of the Revolution seeking new membership in Lee’s Summit
Prairie Chapter, based in Lee’s Summit, is a local chapter of the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution. It meets monthly, September through May, on the second Saturday of the month, for a luncheon, business meeting, and to hear guest speakers on various aspects of American patriotism, education and historic preservation.
Women are encouraged to apply for membership if you meet the criteria:
You are a woman 18 years of age or older
Interested in genealogy
Believe that you are lineally descended from a patriot of the American Revolution who fought or gave aid to the American cause
If you support education, patriotism, and historic preservation
You want to make lifelong friends who share these same interests
