Summit Christian Academy welcomed reptile expert

Summit Christian Academy was recently overtaken by reptiles when herpetologist David Nieves visited the second grade science classes with a rescued snapping turtle, a rain forest tree skink, several snakes, and a large lizard with red eyes named Al.

Nieves publishes children’s books about reptiles and amphibians and shared several stories of his adventures doing research, and pointed them to the Bible passage in I Kings about Solomon. “He understood everything about animals and birds, reptiles and fish.
