Lee&#x2019;s Summit Social Services holds its annual pancake breakfast Feb. 16.</p><p>All funds raised from this event will go to support the programs of Lee&#x2019;s Summit Social Services. </p><p>The breakfast runs from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the First Baptist Church, located</p><p>2 N Douglas St. Enter from the back of the building at the awning.</p><p>Lee&#x2019;s Summit Social Services, an emergency assistance agency, gave more than $1.3 million worth of in-kind and monetary services during 2012 to individuals and families in need.</p><p>It included:</p><p>$809,520 in food given to 4,269 individuals</p><p>335 infants received formula and baby supplies</p><p>972 families receiving utility assistance</p><p>4 senior households assisted with emergency home repair</p><p>277 children receiving new coats, caps, gloves and scarves</p><p>840 children receiving gifts and toys from the LSSS Christmas Store and also clothing</p><p>583 children assisted with new shoes, clothing and backpacks and school supplies in the &#x201C;Back to School Program.&#x201D;
