Tim Collins is new assistant principal at Lee’s Summit North

Tim Collins, currently a social studies teacher at Lee’s Summit North High School, was named assistant principal for LSNHS at the Feb. 14 Board of Education meeting. He will fill an assistant principal position at LSNHS that has been vacant this school year.

A Lee’s Summit R-7 School District resident, Collins will begin his new job in July 2013. He has worked at LSNHS since 2007, also serving as the school’s assistant baseball coach and assistant varsity football coach.

Collins earned his bachelor’s degree in education from the University of Missouri-Kansas City and his master’s in curriculum and instruction from Baker University. He is currently completing his education specialist degree in school leadership through the University of Central Missouri.
