Michelle Edwards named assistant principal at LSHS
Michelle Edwards, currently a communications arts teacher at Lee’s Summit West High School, was named assistant principal for Lee’s Summit High School at the Feb. 14 Board of Education meeting. She will replace Jeff Meisenheimer, who will serve as principal at Lee’s Summit North High School in 2013-14.
A Lee’s Summit resident, Edwards will begin her new job in July 2013. She has taught language arts at LSWHS since 2006 and previously taught in the Grandview School District and in Waxahachie, Texas.
Edwards earned her bachelor’s degree in English from Texas A&M University, her master’s degree in literature from Baker University and is currently completing her education specialist degree in secondary administration from the University of Central Missouri.
