Michael McGurk named LSNHS assistant principal

Michael McGurk, currently activities director at Jefferson City High School, was named Lee’s Summit North High School athletics/activities assistant principal at the Feb. 14 Lee’s Summit R-7 Board of Education meeting. He will replace Cheryl Bramlette, who is retiring this summer.

McGurk has served as activities director in Jefferson City since 2008. He previously worked as director of student activities at schools in Virginia and as an English teacher and coach at a school in Burke, Va.

McGurk has worked 21 years in education. He earned a bachelor’s degree in English literature from George Mason University in Virginia and a master’s degree in education leadership from George Mason University.
