PHIL L. SILVAIN
Phil Silvain, 84, of Lake Lotawana, passed away Feb. 17, 2013 at the Kansas City Hospice House.
Phil was born Jan. 3, 1929 in Kansas City, Kan. He was a veteran and served in both the Navy and Air Force. He worked at Western Electric in Merriam, KS for 39 years. He volunteered and was a member of many organizations including East Gate Masonic Lodge, Prairie Township Rescue Unit, Lake Lotawana Fire, VFW, Lake Lotawana Sportsman Club and the Lake Lotawana United Methodist Church.
Phil was preceded in death by his parents Frank and Eunice Silvain, and sister Nadene Meador. He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Norma, two daughters; Rena Allin and husband Larry, Penny Ursino and husband Robert, five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Services will be held on Feb. 20, 2013 at 11 a.m. with visitation preceding the services from 10-11 a.m. at D.W. Newcomer’s Sons Longview Funeral Home & Cemetery, 12700 S. Raytown Road, K.C., MO, 64129.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Lake Lotawana Community United Methodist Church or Lake Lotawana Memorial Rose Garden.
