Rosemary A. Moore, 82, of Lee’s Summit passed away Feb. 28, 2013 at her home.
Rosemary was born on March 7, 1930 in Gary, Ind. Family obviously was her top priority. Coming from a large family of nine, she carried that feeling of family throughout her life. She generously welcomed all to her home and made everyone feel they were special. Holidays, birthdays and traditions all were welcome whether it was making Christmas cookies, dying Easter eggs, being measured for your latest Halloween costume or sitting for yet another family photo, you knew you wanted to be a part of it all. She was dedicated to her church throughout her life and could be seen at Mass almost everyday until the time of her illness. Rosemary was loved by many and will be missed by all.
She was preceded in death by her parents, several siblings, and her in-laws.
Survivors include her husband of nearly 62 years, Thomas E. Moore, her five adoring children; Kathleen M. Boas, Maureen G. Hert (James), Charleen M. Cunningham (Christopher), Laureen M. Caffarelli (Robert) and Thomas E. Moore, Jr., her ten loving grandchildren; Ryan Boas, Jenny Harlan, James Hert Jr., Amanda Hert, Lindsay Hert, Megan Johnston, Nicholas Cunningham, Callahan Caffarelli, Brogan Caffarelli, Gwen Moore, and three great grandchildren; Ashly, Charlotte and Andrew Harlan.
Visitation will be March 3, from 2-4 p.m. at Langsford Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be March 4 at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Presentation Church in Lee’s Summit. Cremation to follow.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Kansas City Hospice House or to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
