R-7 middle schools recognize Students of the Month for February
Lee’s Summit R-7 School District middle schools recently recognized their February Students of the Month. Students of the month are recognized based on outstanding citizenship, conduct, attitude and school involvement.
Students of the Month from Bernard Campbell Middle School are Chelsey Brown and Coleman Crosby. Chelsey is the daughter of Lavonda Brown and Leonard Brown. At BCMS, Chelsey is involved with student ambassadors. Away from school, Chelsey enjoys cheerleading. She has been listed on the principal’s honor roll. Coleman is the son of Jennifer Crosby and Mark Crosby. At BCMS, Coleman is involved in Scholar Bowl. Away from school, Coleman enjoys involvement in Kansas City Youth Symphony and is an Eagle Scout. He has been listed on the principal’s honor roll.
Students of the Month from Pleasant Lea Middle School are Jocelyn Sands and Carter R. Moore. Jocelyn is the daughter of Cassandra Sands and Jesse Sands. At PLMS, Jocelyn is involved in basketball, seventh grade tutoring and is a student ambassador for WebCares. Away from school, Jocelyn enjoys competitive basketball. She has been listed on the principal’s honor all quarters. Carter is the son of Amy Ditamore and Scott Moore. At PLMS, Carter is involved in track, student council, awards assembly, talent show MC and is the school mascot. Away from school, Carter enjoys competitive soccer. He has been listed on the principal’s honor roll all quarters.
Students of the Month from Summit Lakes Middle School are Alexis Campbell and Collin Thompson. Alexis is the daughter of Kathy Campbell and David Campbell. At SLMS, Alexis is involved in cross country and talent show. Away from school, Alexis enjoys her competitive dance team. She has been listed on the principal’s honor. Collin is the son of Jodi Thompson and Scott Thompson. At SLMS, Collin is involved in cross country and basketball. Away from school, Collin enjoys Boy Scouts, competitive soccer, baseball and basketball. He has been listed on the principal’s honor roll all quarters.
