Dear Editor,

The Lee’s Summit Symphony Orchestra Board of Directors is proud to support the April 2nd no-tax increase bond issue Questions 1 and 2 for safety, preservation and the arts. We, as members of the symphony board, recognize the importance of the items that would be funded by this bond issue. Street improvements, along both Pryor Road and Orchard, are essential if we are to maintain the quality of the infrastructure of both the southwest corridor and the older sections of our city. Funds set aside to preserve the history of our community and to promote the arts are also important for our continued growth as one of the most livable communities in the area. The arts add elements of beauty, creativity, and culture which will make our community much more attractive to both businesses and individuals seeking a place to locate. Increased opportunities for performance and access to cultural events keep dollars here at home, thus supporting the local economy. Help us continue to make our community the best place to be in the greater Kansas City area by joining us in support of these two issues with your vote on April 2.
