Mary E. Ensworth, 87, of Lee’s Summit, passed away on March 10, 2013 at Research Medical Center in Kansas City.
Mary was born on December 7, 1925 in Prescott, Mo.. She was a wife, mother and grandmother. She volunteered at the Unity Village Teahouse; she worked for the telephone company as a switch board operator, was active in AARP and Lions/Lioness Club International and she volunteered at the Lone Jack Museum during the elections.
She was preceded in death by her father, Alfred Decker; her mother, May Decker, her two sisters; Katie and Betty and four brothers; Ira, Virgil, Leonard and Clarence.
She is survived by her husband, Milburn; son, Mike, daughter, Paula and three grandchildren; Warren, Heather and Mandy, two step-grandchildren; Melody and Janet, 10 great-grandchildren; Donald, Adriana, Macy, Eli, Chelsea, Tim, Lacy, Brayden, Junior and Jesse.
Funeral service will be March 13 at 11 a.m. at Langsford Funeral Home. Visitation is one hour prior. Burial will be at Lee’s Summit Cemetery.
Memorial contributions can be made to VITAS Hospice Care at Research Hospital.
