The Cat in the Hat, Aslan, Peter Pan, and the Tin Man were just a few of the literary characters roaming the halls at Summit Christian Academy for Drop Everything and Read Day (D.E.A.R. Day), a day that provides an opportunity for students and teachers to come together and share their love of reading.
Students from kindergarten through sixth grade participated by dressing up as their favorite literary character. Characters could be fictional or real, as long as they were found in a book that the child has read.
Casey’s second-grade class dressed as characters from Mary Pope Osborne’s Magic Tree House books.
