Glenda Nell (Gillion) Johnson, 70, of Lee’s Summit, passed away March 14, 2013. She was a life-long Christian who loved the Lord. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend.
Glenda was born in Lebanon, Mo. on April 4, 1942. She married John E. Johnson in Joplin, MO on June 20, 1958. Glenda and John raised 4 children.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Cecil and Rena Gillion, sister, Mary Taylor and son, Mikle Johnson.
Survivors are her husband of 54 years, John, daughter-in-law Cindy Johnson, daughter, Julie Gregg (Dean), son, Scott Johnson (Susan), daughter Trisha Moore (Pat), eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She is also survived by 3 sisters and many family members and friends. She will be deeply missed.
A funeral was held on March 19 with graveside service at Mt. Moriah Cemetery in Kansas City.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Abundant Life Baptist Church Children’s Ministry in Lee’s Summit.
