Mrs. Berneice (Taylor) McGlothlin, age 77 of Bolivar, Mo. passed away on March 24, 2013 at her home.
She was born Feb. 13, 1936 in Mitchell, Arkansas the daughter of James Berley Taylor and Fannie (Wrather) Taylor.
Berniece married William Stanley McGlothlin on March 15, 1957 in Kansas City, at her parents’ home. To this union two sons were born; Mark S. and David L.
Berniece was devoted to her family and friends. She raised her two younger brothers and cared for her mother, son and husband prior to their deaths. Berniece was always there with a shoulder and a hug for anyone who needed her. She worked for 20 years in the Lee’s Summit high school cafeteria. Berniece and Stanley loved to listen to Bluegrass and attended area festivals anytime they could. Another important part of Berniece’s life was her Mini-pin Nikki, who was her constant companion and love of her life.
Berniece was preceded in death by her husband, William Stanley, one son, W. Mark McGlothlin, her parents, James and Fannie and one infant sister, Mayetha.
Berniece is survived by a son, David L. McGlothlin and his wife Jennifer of Ponca City, Oklahoma, 4 brothers; George Taylor and his wife Bobbie of Independence, Carmon Taylor and his wife Verna of Bolivar, Calvin Taylor and his wife Sandy of Weaubleau, Missouri, Waymon Taylor and wife Rosalee of Springfield, a brother-in-law James McGlothlin and wife Sandy of Viola, Arkansas, one daughter-in-law Kelly McGlothlin of Pleasant Hill, five grandchildren; Jay Don, Karran, Ryan, Lindsey and Matthew and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
Funeral services were held on March 28.
