In recent ceremonies, Majors Jori (Jones) Robinson and her husband, Brett Robinson, were promoted to the rank of - Lt. Colonel.
At Fort Meade’s NSA, in Maryland, Major Jori A. Robinson was sworn in as Lt. Colonel by Colonel Jennifer Sovoda. Lt. Col. Robinson is a 1995 graduate of Lee’s Summit High School and a 1999 graduate of the University of Missouri, Columbia, where she received her commission as a Second Lieutenant through the ROTC program, graduating No. 1 in her class. Currently, she serves as an Intelligence Officer attached to the U.S. Cyber Command at Fort Meade, Md.
At the Russell Senate Office Building, Major Brett B. Robinson was sworn in as Lt. Colonel by Senator Richard Burr of North Carolina. He is a 1994 graduate of Morton High School and a Distinguished Graduate of the United States Air Force Academy in 1998.
Currently Lt. Col. Robinson is serving as a Legislative Liaison for the Air National Guard Bureau and as a C-130 Pilot for the Pennsylvania Air National Guard.
The ceremonies were attended by the couples family, Lonnie and Gayle Burgess of Greenwood and Doug and Allison Robinson of Morton, Ill.
The Robinsons and their three sons, Kiernan, Grayson and Roarke, make their home in Millersville, Md., near Baltimore.
