Marjorie Jean Johnston

Marjorie Jean Johnston, 84, of Lee’s Summit, passed away March 31, 2013 after a less than 24 hour stay at Hospice House of Kansas City from natural causes.

Marjorie was born on Jan. 24, 1929 in Wynne, Ark. She was married for 50 years to JT Johnston. They lived in Harrisonville, for several years before settling in Lee’s Summit in 1960. She was a long-time member of FBC Lee’s Summit and enjoyed being a part of the Joy Club ministry. She was blessed with many friends. She loved her family and her Lord. Her kindness, compassion and humor will be missed by all.

She was preceded in death by her father, George Stanford Cummins and mother, Grace Irene Cole, her husband, JT Johnston and son, Johnny Johnston.

Survivors include son George Johnston, daughters, Pamela Toigo and Susan Morrell, seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Funeral service will be April 5 at 11 a.m. at Langsford Funeral Home. Visitation one hour prior to the service. Burial at Floral Hills East. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice House of Kansas City, 12000 Wornall Road, Kansas City, Mo.
