R-7 middle schools recognize Students of the Month for March

Lee’s Summit R-7 School District middle schools recently recognized their March Students of the Month. Students of the month are recognized based on outstanding citizenship, conduct, attitude and school involvement.

Students of the Month from Bernard Campbell Middle School are Kaitlyn Owens and Josh Sims. Kaitlyn is the daughter of Susan Owens and Chris Owens. At BCMS, Kaitlyn is involved with scholar bowl, women’s choir, concert choir, orchestra, student council and track. Away from school, Kaitlyn enjoys her church youth group and refereeing soccer games. She has been listed on the principal’s honor roll all quarters. Josh is the son of Tracy Sims and Daniel Sims. At BCMS, Josh was involved in the spelling bee. Away from school, Josh enjoys helping to maintain a clean community including recycling efforts. He has been listed on the principal’s honor roll all quarters.

Students of the Month from Pleasant Lea Middle School are Dorian Davis and Kevin Foley. Dorian is the daughter of Kelly Davis and Jeff Davis. At PLMS, Dorian is involved in choir, cheerleading and broadcasting. Away from school, Dorian enjoys acting and singing lessons and time with friends. She has been listed on the principal’s honor roll. Kevin is the son of Bev Foley and Jeff Foley. At PLMS, Kevin is involved in wrestling and cross country. Away from school, Kevin enjoys soccer, wrestling and his swim team. He has been listed on the principal’s honor roll.

Students of the Month from Summit Lakes Middle School are Peyton Culclager and Justin McEnroe. Peyton is the daughter of Sharon Culclager and London Culclager. At SLMS, Peyton is involved in jazz band, Sara Pitt’s Poetry Contest and Optimist Club Oration Contest. Away from school, Peyton enjoys babysitting, cooking, reading, swimming, 5K charity runs, and volunteering at John Knox Village. She has been listed on the honor roll. Justin is the son of Jessica McEnroe and Jeff McEnroe. At SLMS, Justin is involved in football and wrestling. Away from school, Justin enjoys baseball, basketball and math mania volunteer work at Longview Farm Elementary. He has been listed on the principal’s honor roll all quarters.
