Students capture awards in science and engineering fair

Several Lee’s Summit R-7 students recently captured awards in the Greater Kansas City Science Fair, according to Science Pioneers officials.

They include Maryn White, Cedar Creek Elementary, Sigma Theta Tau Nursing Honor Society, Pi Eta Chapter-Graceland University; Lauren Buchanan, Cedar Creek Elementary, second place Intermediate Behavioral and Social Sciences; Emma Brewer, Cedar Creek Elementary, third place Intermediate Inventions, Linda Hall Library Project Display; Shannon Buehre, Hazel Grove Elementary, first place Intermediate Chemistry sixth grade, Broadcom 2013; Joshua Nazworthy, Lee’s Summit Elementary, second place, Intermediate Chemistry sixth grade, Broadcom 2013; Drew Hurley, Summit Lakes Middle School, ASM International - Kansas City Chapter.
