Fitness Together receives national recognition

May 3, 2013

Local entrepreneurs Julia Wilson and Gretchen Knust were recognized with the Studio Transformation Award from among 240 Fitness Together studio owners at the company’s recent national conference in St. Petersburg Beach, Fla.

Wilson and Knust were recognized for implementing strategic solutions that resulted in tremendous growth in 2012. In a stagnant economy, the pair were forced to lower prices to stay afloat. Looking for a change, they decided to completely remodel their studio giving them more room and more functionality. The change allowed them to take on additional clients as well as provide a new training option for their existing clients, resulting in 89 percent growth for the studio in 2012.

“Working in health and wellness has been so rewarding for me for so many years,” Knust said. “Being part of this studio, seeing people change and watching our business grow has been an incredible experience and I look forward to continued success for our studio and our members in the future.”

Wilson and Knust work closely with each client to develop a personalized program that meets the client’s fitness needs and agrees with their budget. This includes strength and cardio training in addition to nutrition counseling and a level of accountability and coaching not found with other programs.

Fitness Together is a global franchise providing one-on-one and small group personal training, called PACK training, to help customers at any fitness level succeed in establishing and maintaining a healthy and fit lifestyle. PACK training is a newer option at Fitness Together and offers a highly personalized approach for groups of two to four people, vastly different from large group training classes at big box gyms.
