LSWHS students earn Panache Awards

Lee’s Summit West High School students enrolled in clothing construction recently earned awards at Panache 2013, held April 18. Panache is an annual event sponsored by the Apparel and Textile Department at Penn Valley Community College. This was the 32th year for the event and LSWHS’s eighth year to participate.

Winners included second place for Taylor Lacy and third place for Shelby Kapperman in the Tailored/Career Category Senior; third place for Lucy Jergens in the Sportswear/Activewear Category; first place for Sara Mather and second place for Kat Garrison in the Evening Wear Category; honorable mention for Kelly Ducklow in the Redesign a garment into a new garment; and first place for Jessica Gough in the Experimental Design Category.
