brief lunch

rush aside

are retired

unemployed

have night jobs

stay at homes

of either gender

a few

have been

dealt

terrible hands

to play

many are

regulars

she checks on

older ones

absent long

to see if

they are

ok

she is off

by six

for evenings

with my

sister

and me

also

weekends

they go

to early

church

i usually

sleep in

except

this sunday

she told me

preacher said

even if

you are

an atheist

go with her

on mothers day

she enjoys

work

can be

likable

and

successful

no matter

what

facebook

big boss

writes

my mom

is certainly

both

leans in

to living

i started

to buy

a card

but she

would

rather

i mowed

before

it leaves

clumps

of cut

grass
