LS Police to conduct annual fund raiser

May 15, 2013

Members of the Lee’s Summit Police Department will join with Habanero’s restaurant May 16 for their annual “Tip-A-Cop” event to benefit Special Olympics.

Officers from the department will wait tables and take orders between 11 a.m. and 9 p.m. Donations and tips will be accepted and the 2013 Law Enforcement Special Olympics Torch Run t-shirts will be available for sale.

The annual tip-a-cop event is a fund raiser held in addition to the annual “Polar Plunge” fund raiser and in conjunction with the annual Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics. Special Olympics is a chosen charity for all law enforcement agencies and has been a partnered charity with the Lee’s Summit Police Department for several years.
