May 22, 2013

John D. Rohovit, 69, of Lee’s Summit passed away suddenly at his home on May 19, 2013.

John was born in Kansas City, and was a 1962 graduate of Center High School. He was a long time employee of Sprint Corporation, a member of AARP, and was a Treasurer for the HeartAix Users Group. John retired from Sprint in 2004 and kept himself active working for the Lee’s Summit School district and was looking forward to retiring the end of May (but our Heavenly Father had other plans for John).

John is survived by his wife of 50 years, Carol (Sheperis) Rohovit of Lee’s Summit; two daughters, Lisa (Rohovit) Ruggiero of Addison, Ill., Kimberly Rohovit of Raymore; a sister, Denise McGrew of Las Vegas, Nev. and a brother, David Rohovit of Salt Lake City, Utah. He also leaves one grandson, Steven Ruggiero, Jr., three nephews, Jeffrey Brownlee, T. Troy Rohovit and A. Trell Rohovit; and two nieces, Jennifer (Brownlee) Blumberg and Melissa (Brownlee) Bachochin.

Visitation will be on May 22 from 4-6 p.m. at Langsford Funeral Home with cremation to follow.

The family offers the suggestion of contributions to The American Heart Association in lieu of flowers.

Online condolences may be left for the family at langsfordfuneralhome.
