LSPR’s free summer concert series kicks off June 21

Lee’s Summit Parks and Recreation presents the first of three free, live concerts featuring bands from all over the Kansas City metro.

The first in the series is “Rock the Green,” which features classic rock from the sixties and seventies. The event is set for June 21 and will feature “Fast Johnny Ricker,” “The People Next Door,” “Rick Bacus Band,” and “headshandsfeat.”

The concert begins at 7 p.m. and goes until 10:30 p.m. and is held on Green Street in Downtown Lee’s Summit on the City Hall Plaza. 

The concert is free and food and drink vendors will be on site. No coolers, alcohol or glass bottles will be allowed. For more information, call Lee’s Summit Parks and Recreation at 816-969-1500 or visit the website lsparks.net.
