William (Bill) Joseph Vincent

William (Bill) Joseph Vincent, 75, of Lee’s Summit, passed away suddenly on June 2, 2013 at Saint Luke’s East.

Mr. Vincent was born on April 15, 1938 in Indianapolis, Ind. He was raised in Monett, Mo., graduating from the Monett High School in 1956. He married Diana Sue Muckey on July 12, 1964. He retired from AT&T after 28 years of employment. Bill was an avid sportsman, hunting every fall/winter and fishing every spring/summer. He was a founding member and continued as president for several years of a local fishing club at Lake Jacomo. He also was a founding member of the WECOMO bass club and of the Grand Prairie Chapter of Ducks Unlimited.

He is preceded in death by both his parents Bill and Edith Vincent of Monett, Mo.

His survivors are his beloved wife, Sue, of the home; his son, Troy, of Platte City; his daughter, Elizabeth of Lee’s Summit; two granddaughters, Hanna and Willow McMickell; sisters, Deanna Lathrop (Wayne), Janet Moore, Mary Holland (Steve) all of Lee’s Summit, and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 1-4 p.m. on June 7, 2013 at Langsford Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made in his name to the Missouri Department of Conservation, Donations Coordinator, PO Box 180, Jefferson City, MO, 65102-0180.
