One Good Meal needs drivers to carry meals to senior citizens and home bound residents.

Director Roberta McArthur said she needs at least six volunteer drivers who can take a route one day a week. On their first day the route could take between 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. but following that it should go quicker, as volunteers become familiar with the route and procedures.

Volunteers must have a valid drivers license, insurance and a vehicle, Be reasonably healthy and able to walk up steps, etc., McArthur said.

It’s an exceptionally good opportunity for Lee’s Summit teenagers who have cars and need service hours for school, she said.
