Compulsive Eaters Anonymous HOW

Family Fun Night

8:30-10:30 p.m., Summit Waves – A totally fun night of games, giveaways, a DJ and concessions. With two fast water slides, lap pool with diving boards and a water playground area with mini-slides. Entry fees are $4 for LS Residents and a $5 regular rate per person (Kids under 4 are free, season passes may be used).

Helping Hands of the Willing Workers

1 p.m., Longview Chapel Christian Church, 850 SW Longview Road – Join a weekly group that makes crafts and sews to the benefit the church. Helping Hands makes items throughout the year to earn money for the building fund and makes cheer baskets for the homebound. The group invites anyone looking for fellowship, fun and those who enjoy creating items, to join them. The group furnishes all supplies and is always looking for new ideas. Lee’s Summit Downtown Rotary Club

4:45 p.m., Lee’s Summit Firefighters Union Hall, 322 SE Douglas St. – The club’s mission is to meet the charitable needs of the local community and participate in worldwide humanitarian causes by utilizing the energy and dedication of its members. Night Flight 5K Run/Walk

9 p.m. Harris Park Community Center – The race route will begin and end at Harris Park and go through downtown Lee’s Summit, the entire route is paved. Pre-registration only. Fees are $30 for participants age 14 and over and $25 for 13 and under. Sorry, night of registrations will not be available. Lee’s Summit Parks & Recreation is hosting a post-race swim at Summit Waves. Participants will have free entry to the “Dash & Dive Party” and family members are welcome for $4 each.
