Gertrude Elizabeth Hustad

Gertrude Elizabeth Hustad, 97, of Raymore, passed away on June 6, 2013 at Foxwood Springs Nursing Home.

Gertrude was born on Dec. 15, 1915 in Theresa, Wisconsin. She was married to Everett Hustad on Nov. 15, 1936. She was a great homemaker while Everett worked for TWA. She graduated from Gilmonton High School in Wisconsin. Gertrude was a member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church since 1943. She taught Sunday School and Vacation Bible School for many years. Gertrude was an officer in the Lutheran Women’s Missionary League. She also worked for Montgomery Ward in sales.

Gertrude was preceded in death by her parents, Herbert and Ada Heck and two sisters, Frieda Ress and Florence Johnson.

She is survived by her three children; John Hustad and wife Retha, Paul Hustad and wife Linda, Rosemary Watson and husband Ron; six grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held on June 10 with burial in Mt. Washington Cemetery.
