Tour gardens in downtown Lee’s Summit’s Howard neighborhood historic district

GardenWalk Lee’s Summit is from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, June 15, in the Howard Neighborhood Historic District in Downtown Lee’s Summit. The GardenWalk features six gardens, ranging from funky to formal. This grassroots neighborhood tour encourages people to explore the gardens and historic homes that make Downtown Lee’s Summit so special.

Tours begin anytime between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m., starting at 601 S.E. Miller St. (Fossil Gardens) at the corner of Sixth and Miller streets in Downtown Lee’s Summit. Tickets can be purchased at Great Southern Bank locations in Lee’s Summit, or the day of the tour at 601 S.E. Miller St. The cost is $5 per person; ages 12 and younger are free.

GardenWalk is sponsored by Great Southern Bank. Proceeds benefit Downtown Lee’s Summit Main Street’s efforts to preserve and revitalize Downtown Lee’s Summit.
