Greg Lang

Greg Lang, age 61, Lee’s Summit, passed away suddenly on June 10, 2013 at home.

Mr. Lang was born on Sept. 28, 1951 in Kansas City.

Greg was a respected husband, father, teacher and coach. After graduating from Lee’s Summit High he earned his Bachelor’s degree at William Penn College and Master’s degree at Pittsburg State. He touched many lives in his teaching and coaching career at Richmond High, Pittsburg State, Missouri Western State, Kirksville High and Center High. His hobbies included golf, attending sporting events and helping those in need. His greatest joy was spending time with his wife, Cindy and two children, Heather and Chris.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Margaret Lang.

Survivors include his wife, Cindy Lang; children, Heather and Chris Lang, father, Eugene Lang and brothers; Don and Larry Lang.

Visitation will be held 9-11 a.m. June 17 at First Baptist Church in Lee’s Summit. Funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. with burial in Floral Hills East Memorial Gardens.

Memorial Contributions: We would like to create the Greg Lang Scholarship Fund to provide financial assistance to a high school senior. Donations can be made to the Greg Lang Memorial Account.
